A Beautiful Hotel in a Beautiful Area I had a great stay at this hotel. It made a very good first impression as I drove past the gate entrance — elegant and welcoming. The reception staff were friendly, and the atmosphere immediately felt warm and inviting. The gardens are stunning, and the interior has a classy, tasteful design with a lovely color scheme throughout. My room was clean, minimalist, and cozy. The towels, bedding, soaps, and other amenities were all of good quality, which added to the comfort. There were only a couple of small negatives: the overhead shower head could use a clean to remove limescale, and during the night there was a constant rattling noise — possibly from furniture, a piece of wood, or something in a nearby room — which disturbed my sleep. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend this hotel to friends. I look forward to coming back for another stay — and next time, I’d love to try the bar and restaurant too.

We recently had our wedding at Gorse Hill, and we truly couldn’t have asked for a more perfect experience. Everything on the day was seamless from start to finish — the communication, the planning process, and especially the day-of coordination. The venue itself is stunning — The grounds, the hotel and the event space were perfect for how we saw our wedding. Our guests are still raving about how beautiful everything was and how delicious the food was. The atmosphere was exactly what we had hoped for: romantic, relaxed, and most importantly unforgettable. A huge thank you to Brandon for going above and beyond to make sure every detail on the day was perfect. We truly felt supported every step of the way and were able to enjoy our day completely stress-free. He is the person you want to have on the day to help and guide. If you're considering Gorse Hill for your wedding or event — do it. You’ll be in incredible hands, and your day will be everything you dream it to be. Awesome location. Reception wasn't easiest to find as I had to drive through a couple of car parking sites to get to it.. follow the road until you get to a water fountain would be my advice. Gentleman at reception was very welcoming. The room was mostly clean... the carpet was in desperate need of a vacuum however... it was covered in hair and debris. The room was warm... heating was on with no thermostat to control it. Windows were locked in the closed position.. it was only during checkout, when I enquired, that I was told keys are avaliable ay reception to unlock the windows... so a heads up, if you like having air circulating, might be worth grabbing a set of keys. The room was very quiet... doors closed softly and I wouldn't have been aware other guests were staying had I not seen them out and about. A very pleasant stay overall. Would stay here again and would recommend to others.

I’ve really enjoyed my stay at the hotel, and a big part of that has been the experience at the bar thanks to Christian. He has been absolutely fantastic behind the bar—professional, attentive, and genuinely welcoming from the moment you sit down. Christian creates such a great atmosphere, whether it’s mixing drinks perfectly, making thoughtful recommendations, or simply having a friendly conversation. He’s attentive without being overbearing and makes sure everyone feels looked after. His positive energy and attention to detail really stand out. It’s clear he takes pride in what he does, and it definitely elevates the whole experience. The bar has been one of the highlights of my stay, all thanks to Christian.

Brilliant find. Stayed here for one night as son was passing out at pirbright, but service was excellent. Staff were lovely and couldn't be more helpful. We stayed in room 59. Was lovely, clean and modern. Nice smells throughout. Xmas decks on point and we noticed it isn't too far from the big shopping centres. Truly worth a visit. Breakfast great value for the area. Can't praise this hotel and it's staff enough. Everyone from the cleaners to the front of house was polite, friendly and helpful.

Entrance is hard to find at night. Great venue, nice buildings, service was excellent, staff were all super nice. Food was OK at the bar, nothing outstanding but decent. Breakfast was really really good and the breakfast staff were great. Gym is decent for a hotel like this as well, has a range of cardio and strength equipment and a decent range of dumbbells which is pretty rare.

The whole place is spotless. Beds are comfy,rooms are very very clean. Kettle and drinks were there for us. Breakfast was just right and the bacon was not salty. Poached egg was just how I like it. Avacardo poached egg on toast was yummy .. bedding was fresh and carpets were clean. Now about the shower...what can I say.. I like a shower to be hot and it didn't disappoint though if you pushed the shower head up to the top of the rail it cut off the water as the shower hose is a rubber one and caused a kink in it underneath the tap. I'm 5ft 6in so it didn't bother me enough to make it a problem. None slip bath also.. Our room No' was 80. One last thing.. The staff are amazing...nothing was too much trouble. The girls that served up breakfast were pleasant and courteous. A big thankyou to Gorse Hill Hotel for a pleasant 2night stay.. 5⭐'s Will be visiting again soon P.S.
